Prep Transition Information
Every Child, Every Opportunity and Every Day.
We warmly welcome families who are considering Sunshine North Primary School for their child’s education.
As part of the enrolment process, parents and carers are invited to attend a Prep Transition Meeting with the Principal and the Prep Team Leader. During this session, families are introduced to our Prep Transition Book, an important resource that helps children and their families prepare for their first year of school.
The Prep Transition Book includes information about school routines, classroom expectations, key dates, and activities designed to build children’s confidence and familiarity with their new learning environment. It also provides an opportunity for families to share information about their child, enabling staff to develop a strong understanding of each student and support a smooth and successful transition into Prep.
Families will also receive a Prep Show Bag containing important enrolment information, school resources, and materials to assist with the transition to school. School uniforms are available for purchase during this time.
These transition sessions are typically held in December and offer families a valuable opportunity to learn more about school life, ask questions, meet members of the Prep team, and begin building connections within our school community.
